10 Important Things to Know

1. You and I (and our staff) are partners in your health care

In your path to better health, each of us has a responsibility. Your job is to report your symptoms as thoroughly as possible. Only you can tell us about your experience. We will rely on you to provide us with your most complete and accurate medical history. Our job, then, is to interpret this data and to apply our medical learning and years of experience to shed some new light on your condition. We will act like a puzzle solver, so to speak, making sense out of the disparate signs your body has developed for its imbalances.

2. Patient/customer service is our priority

We are, at the core, a service based business. We rely on you to be our most enthusiastic supporters and, therefore, it is very important to us that you are satisfied with your experience at Bambú Clinic. If you ever have suggestions that will help us to deliver a better service, we are all ears.

3. Bambú Clinic physicians are all similarly trained and exceptional in their field

The doctors at Bambú Clinic all agree on some basic naturopathic approaches to case analysis and symptom management. Some of these ideas are expressed in our articles about naturopathic philosophy and about treatment choices (Cure, Palliation, Suppression). We are extremely careful to choose associates who can cover for one another. For you, the patient, this means that in the rare occasion when your physician is not available to help you with a question, any other doctor at Bambú Clinic can likely help you just as well.

4. It is important to us to have all available pertinent medical information for your case

We want you to think of us just like you would your primary care doctor. In order to provide you with the best in naturopathic care, we will want to see ALL relevant blood and laboratory diagnostic testing that you have done. Please list us as physicians to receive copies of all of your labwork (both past and future). And, “normal” values can be quite different from “optimal” values, so don’t be surprised if your ND is calling you to talk about your labs even if everything appears to be normal.

5. We believe in making naturopathic medicine as affordable as possible

At Bambu Clinic, we strive to make excellent naturopathic care affordable to our patients. While each of our physicians has a slightly different policy regarding insurance, the majority of us have decided to provide out-of-network insurance billing as a courtesy to our patients. If you are interested please ask about the specific policies of your physician when you call to schedule. 6. We can ship your supplements

We ship our supplements to patients every day. To save you from driving to the office and paying for parking, just call and ask us to drop what you need in the mail. While we do have to add a minimal shipping fee to cover the costs, you will likely get your remedies within 48 hours.

7. We will validate your parking

Whenever you come to Bambú Clinic for an appointment with one of our doctors, please let us pay for your parking. We validate parking for all downtown SmartPark garages.

8. We are available via email

If you have follow-up questions regarding your treatment plan or are just confused about what we recommended, you can reach your physician by emailing him/her. Our doctors regularly respond to our emails within 24 hours, so if you have not heard back within one day, feel free to check in that we received your message.

9. We want you to take charge of your health

The only way to really sustainable improved health is if you can become your own health care activist. We would love for you to achieve a level of wellness where you no longer need regular appointments with your naturopath. In order to get there, we will always provide you with copies of your labs (just ask for a copy if you do not get one at the visit), we will teach you how to manage acute illness by yourself at home, and we will instruct you on the origins of your condition so you can take proactive health measures.
