Erika Siegel, ND, LAc

  • I strongly believe that the body has an inherent ability to heal. My goal is to be a facilitator to that healing process, using a multitude of effective therapeutics, specifically chosen for you. I understand and respect that you are an individual in a unique body and I will work with you towards your health goals.

Maintaining the balance of mind, body and spirit is the foundation of my philosophy. Prevention is the cornerstone of my Naturopathic approach, and I am happy to evaluate all areas of a person’s health and make suggestions for optimization, even in the absence of symptoms.

Since 2004, I have had the honor to work alongside my patients, encouraging them to take an active role in their health. I do not practice “green allopathic medicine” (meaning I do not just hand you an herbal supplement that does the same as a pharmaceutical) instead I ask a lot of questions and do a thorough investigation (which may include lab testing and imaging) to aid my pursuit in finding the root cause of imbalance or illness. Yes, I can just treat symptoms, especially to give you short-term relief, but my ultimate goal is to get you to a deeper state of healing and balance.

My treatment plans may require some hard work on your end, but if you are not up for that right now, I will support you in this moment. I want to hear your story, as it as important as any medical test, and I listen with a compassionate ear. I strive to give you 100% of my attention when I am in the room with you and work from my heart, as I believe there is no other way to practice medicine.

I primarily utilize acupuncture, nutrition education, herbal medicine, selective supplementation, soft tissue work and lifestyle counseling. My acupuncture treatments are more like a spa experience~ you need to try it!

Combining the tools and wisdom from East and West that I learned in medical school and honed in clinical experience, I offer truly holistic health care. I love this work and consider it an honor and privilege to be invited into the lives of my patients.

  • Dr. Erika Siegel grew up in New Jersey and then attended Tulane University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Psychology.  She then moved west to pursue her passion in medicine. While in California taking western pre-medicine classes, she was introduced to alternative lifestyles and naturopathic medicine, and knew that her life’s work was to become a holistic healer.

Dr. Siegel earned a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and a Master’s in Chinese medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 2004. While she originally moved to Oregon to pursue her education, she quickly fell in love with Portland and has made it home for herself, her husband and two sweet boys.

In 2011, Dr. Siegel launched a small business, Nourish Me, fueled by her passion for inspiring true health for the whole family. She created the Nourish Me Superfood Powder for kids (and grown-ups) and is hard at work at her first book, The Nourish Me Kitchen (due for completion in winter 2019). Dr. Siegel excitedly joined Bambú Clinic in 2014, her tenth year of practice, and is honored to work in a field that brings her so much satisfaction and connection with her community. As a life-long learner with a true desire to support people through healing, she has found her perfect fit in naturopathic medicine.

  • Dr. Siegel, I never properly thanked you for all of your help and adviceAfter getting the results of my food allergy panel, I started a modified gluten-free diet. Ever since then, not only have I not needed my weekly B12 injections (had weekly bloodwork to prove my levels were staying up) but my rhuematoid arthritis has been doing well (off my meds and pain free!).

    - R.P.

  • Erika Siegel is a fantastic physician. I felt like I have wasted years of my life with other physicians, but I am very blessed to have found Erika. I’m sure I am not telling you anything you don’t know already and hear from others all the time, but she is just a great person too. I value her medical skills and knowledge as much as her warm, genuine and friendly soul.

    - K.L.

  • I went to see Dr. Siegel because I was tired of just being prescribed pills for everything.  I wanted to solve the problems not just mask the symptoms.  Dr. Siegel helped me do just that.  She listened, and she formulated a plan to reach my goal.  Acid reflux gone, I can sleep at night without Ambien.

  • I know I speak for everyone who attended your lunchtime lecture today, that we were wowed with the information you so generously provided. Thank you. I know I heard a lot of things for the first time, which is interesting to me, because I consider myself fairly well educated on this topic.

    - C.M.

  • Dr. Siegel came into my life during a time where there needed to be some serious healing.  She has helped to cure the root of my issues and not just give me things to cover up the symptoms.  She has also helped me to understand how things work in my body and how one factor is related to the other and how to address all parts.

    - Angie T.

  • The treatment you gave me has left my back feeling better than it has in over 3 years. The range of motion i have, the pressure is gone, the stiffness is gone everything! my back feels normal–I can’t tell you how wonderful that is for me–I’ve become  used to the pain—but today- it’s not there.  I could cry I’m so happy–thank you and I will definitely try to get this scheduled into my routine.

  • Thank you so much for the relief!

    – XO Gretchen
